What does a FESTIVAL Gran Melia HOTEL stay Guest ticket include?
The ticket is for one person. A single room includes one ticket, a double/twin includes two, and so on. One ticket to the festival comprises:
5 nights accommodation: Single, Double/Twin, Triple (available only for the master suite). Every room offers an amazing sea view!
Breakfast every morning: A 5-star restaurant quality buffet with vegan, vegetarian, and traditional Spanish options. Enjoy a variety of pastries, yogurts, breads, juices, teas, coffees, cheeses, and other breakfast items, as well as local honey on the comb and much more. For those fond of omelets, a chef will prepare yours to your preference right in front of you.
All BJJ seminars: There are at least five 90-minute seminars daily, with three open mats at 6:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 9:00 pm.
All Yoga classes: On average, six classes daily in various styles with diverse teachers.
Wim Hof Method seminars and daily ice baths: Typically, 2-3 sessions are conducted in the early afternoon consecutively.
Freediving: Daily seminars and dives, with options for course certification.
Additional activities: Gong baths, Cacao ceremonies, meditations, Dance (jungle, salsa, ecstatic to name a few) lectures, workshops, and more.
Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs): Available for use anytime. We provide snorkels and masks for underwater exploration.
Opening night: A Paella dinner fiesta featuring seafood and vegan varieties. This includes free local wine, sangria, beer, lemonade, bottled water, coffee, and a selection of traditional Spanish tapas.
Closing night: A dinner fiesta with local seafood and vegetable BBQ, Spanish tapas, and many vegan options. Drinks like local wine, sangria, beer, lemonade, aqua con gas, and coffee are included.
Evening entertainment: Open access to performances by our special guest DJs by the pool every night, and unrestricted access to all areas of the hotel, including lounges, theaters, restaurants, pools, private beach, spa, and more. The entire event is exclusively reserved for the Mallorca BJJ and Yoga Festival attendees. The entire property is yours to enjoy!
Goodie bag: This includes a T-shirt, water bottle, and wristband.
While the Spa's saunas and whirlpools are not included for free, they are available for 25 euros per day. However, if you book a treatment, such as a massage, you gain complimentary access to the spa for the entire day.
Non-stay ticket holder
Non-stay ticket holder passes include everything that the hotel stay offers EXCEPT:
A room at the hotel with breakfast (this is not included).
The opening and closing night dinner parties. Closer to the date, if we have availability, we'll release dinner passes for purchase at 80€ each.
Does not include the 25€ per day access to the spa. But, a treatment like a massage can be booked and with that there is also full use of the saunas that day.
Where is this festival happening?
The festival is hosted at the Gran Melia De Mar hotel in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The festival has full exclusivity, "run of the house," over the entire hotel and its grounds.
We've divided the hotel grounds into Yin and Yang sections, each tailored to specific activities. While it's challenging to capture the experience through any media or website, those who have attended will attest to its fantastic nature.
When is the festival?
Arrive at the Gran Melia de Mar hotel by 6pm on Wednesday, 23rd of October 2024. If you arrive early, your room might already be ready. If not, leave your bags at the front desk and partake in the day's activities like a yoga class, BJJ open mat, or just relax on a lounger or take a swim. The festival lasts for 5 days, with check-out on Monday, 28th of October. Check-out time is 11am. If you have a later flight, you can leave your bags at the front desk and continue to enjoy the hotel's facilities until your departure time.
How do I confirm my place?
We have reserved the entire Gran Melia de Mar hotel, so all ticket holders must stay at the hotel. This means we will sell approximately 200 tickets, in addition to another 50 non-stay local tickets. All bookings will be managed through our "BOOK NOW" page, which redirects you to our secure payment processing partner, WeTravel. There, you can make payments via bank transfer or debit/credit card, ensuring we never access your card or bank details.
What is NOT included in the full Festival Hotel experience ticket?
Flights and taxi transfers (15-20 min from the airport, costing €30) are not included - see our festival schedule app to post regarding flight numbers to arrange ride shares with other guests.
Dinner for the middle three nights, as well as lunch on any day, is not covered. You have the option to purchase meals at the onsite restaurant, the smoothie, and açai bar. Alternatively, you can take a short trip to central Palma (a 10-minute, €10 taxi ride) to enjoy street tapas. Numerous street cafes are also available within a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
Can I choose my room?
First come, first served! The top two floors are considered the best, though in terms of size (excluding the suites) and features, all rooms in the hotel are identical. EVERY room at the hotel boasts a stunning sea view from its private balcony. There's no such thing as a bad room! The rooms on the top floor are often preferred because they offer a higher sea view over the native Balearic pine trees. Essentially, all the rooms are the same, but if you book early, we'll assign you a room starting from the top floor if requested but many also love the lower rooms.
Who can attend?
This festival is an adults-only event. All guests must be 18 years or older; however, teenagers aged 15-17 are permitted if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
You can belong to any BJJ/Yoga affiliation, practice, school, or discipline; it doesn't matter, everyone is welcome. If you've never practiced Yoga or BJJ before, don't worry! There will be introductory classes for both, making this the perfect immersion into a new art form.
What is the weather like?
Late October is a wonderful time to visit Mallorca, especially in the sunnier southern part where the Gran Melia de Mar is located. The average high air temperature is expected to be 22°C (73°F) with ample sunshine. The sea temperature will typically be around 24°C (75°F). It's recommended to have a long-sleeved shirt, light jacket, or hoodie for the cooler moments before sunrise or after sunset. Packing a light jacket or hoodie is advisable, and we'll also have festival hoodies for sale in the lobby!
Where do the seminars take place?
The seminars are held on the hotel grounds, all just a short walk from your room. We offer a variety of venues: a large BJJ Hall, three small to medium yoga rooms, a spacious outdoor yoga area by the sea, an open-air terrace for anytime open mats, shaded areas under trees for acro yoga, a secluded cove for freediving access, and several other spaces.

Double room with a King bed or 2 single beds - suitable for 2 guests, depending on room type. Refer to the 'Book Now' page for pricing. During your booking you can clarify if you want 2 single beds or a King bed.

Traveling solo but looking to save? We can assist in pairing you with another attendee, allowing you to split the cost of a room and potentially make a new friend in the process. If interested, choose the 'need a roomy' option when booking.
Payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, and bank transfers through our third-party payment processor, WeTravel. Note: UK bank transfers are currently unavailable (we're working to resolve this issue).
